Citizen Disaster Exercise this Saturday at GHC

Residents are welcome to join local groups to prepare for a disaster.

This Saturday, September 21st, beginning at noon, the lower parking lot of Grays Harbor College in Aberdeen will be the setting for a Citizen Disaster Exercise. Officials will be setting up at noon using a Red Cross disaster trailer.

The exercise will be treated as if it were a real disaster, featuring of the mobilization of their Community Emergency Response Teams, Medical Reserve Corps Members, and other groups. A mass feeding, medical and housing area will be set up at the school with assistance by the Red Cross.

The exercise will be based upon an incident where many groups and individual citizens mobilize at Grays Harbor College.

The event will be held rain or shine.
