The Chehalis Basin Flood Authority is once again trying to get the Chehalis Tribe involved with the group.
The tribe left the Authority earlier this year over concerns the coalition wasn’t considering alternative strategies to control flooding along the Chehalis River.
And for the first time, the Flood Authority is bringing its regular meeting out of Lewis County and into Grays Harbor at the Montesano City Hall on Thursday, September 15.
Cosmopolis Mayor Vickie Raines, who chairs the Flood Authority, says she hopes people interested in flooding issues on the Chehalis will take this opportunity to attend a meeting that is local toGrays Harbor residents.
There is a work session at 9am and a business meeting at 1:30pm.
