Central Park Fire Reveals Dead Body in Home

The Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office reports that multiple agencies responded to a home fire in Central Park over the weekend where a dead body was found.

Grays Harbor Fire District #2 and deputies with the Sheriff’s Department responded to the fire. While extinguishing the fire, the fire department found a human body. The Sheriff’s Department and Hoquiam PD investigated.

It is believed that the victim was the 86 year old male resident of the home.

The cause and origin of the fire are yet to be determined however a heater in the living room area of the residence was a possible cause of the fire.

An autopsy will be conducted sometime this week and a positive ID is hoped to be made through dental records to verify the identity of the victim.
