Bridge repairs will cause delays today and in the coming months

Drivers who cross the US 101 Chehalis River Bridge should plan some extra time for their Wednesday morning commute. Department of Transportation bridge maintenance crews will close the 59-year old bridge repeatedly to repair the bridge’s drive system.

The work is scheduled until 8 am today. During the repair, traffic in both directions of US 101 will be held for fifteen-minute increments while workers make the repairs.

In Pacific County, due to weather-related issues, WSDOT has delayed reducing the SR 6 Willapa River Bridge to a single lane. Crews are now scheduled to implement 10 weeks of around-the-clock single-lane traffic on Monday, Feb. 24
