Bid awarded for Illahee/Oyehut sewer system

A bid was awarded yesterday that will get things going for the Illahee/Oyehut area.

The Grays Harbor County Commissioners awarded a bid to Roglins Inc. for the installation of the sewer system in Illahee/Oyehut.

The bid was for $2,979,812.54 and Commissioner Vickie Raines says the funds for the project come from the state.

The loan portion of the funding from the Department of Ecology is $800,000.00.

Raines says they are hoping to break ground on the project soon.

The residents of Illahee/Oyehut currently use septic systems.
