AT&T outage impacting 911 calls in the area

Grays Harbor E911 is reporting that as of 03:18 AM, citizens serviced by AT&T mobility in the Grays Harbor County area are experiencing a phone system outage.

Their release states that this outage affects cell phone service for citizens in communities across the entire county.

During the outage, those who have AT&T do have the ability to place 911 and local calls using their wireless phones.

“Citizens do have the ability to place calls using a cell phone by calling the non-emergency number at 360-533-8765.”

At this time, the outage only affects citizens being serviced by AT&T. Citizens using other phone service providers should not be affected.

AT&T did not have an ETA for restoration as of 5 AM.
