A two car accident injured three and blocked parts of SR 8 for three hours.

The Washington State Patrol tells KXRO that just before 1:00 in the afternoon Sunday, a 91 year old Olympia man driving a 2001 Kia Sportage pulled out onto SR 8 from SR 108 to head east and was hit by a 66 year old Tumwater woman heading west in a 2003 Mazda Protégé.

The State Patrol says the 91 year old was transported to St. Peters Hospital for his injuries along with his passenger a 94 year old Olympia woman.

The 66 year old was sent to Summit Pacific Medical Center.

The Washington State Department of Transportation says the left lane of westbound SR 8 was blocked for three hours.

The State Patrol says the cause of the accident is under investigation.
