An accident on Highway 101 on Friday sent one to the hospital and completely blocked the road.

The Washington State Patrol tells KXRO that a semi truck driven by a 56 year old Burlington man, was heading south on highway 101 near Failor Lake at about 11:30 Friday morning when it crossed the center line and the trailer it was towing rolled onto its side.

The state patrol says the truck then hit the guard rail on the northbound side causing it to tip onto its side and slide until it hit the bridge in the area.

The Burlington man was transported to the hospital for his injuries.

The state patrol says the accident is under investigation.

The Washington State Department of Transportation said the road that was completely blocked for some time was not cleared until around 11:30 that night.
