Aberdeen Treatment Plant receive 6th straight clean water award

The Aberdeen City Council and Mayor Bill Simpson presented Wastewater Systems Manager Kyle Scott with yet another clean water award from the Department of Ecology.

This is Aberdeen’s water treatment plant’s sixth straight award and Scott says that is a rare feat. Out of over 300 treatment plants in the state, only approximately 15 have a better record than Aberdeen.

Scott also explained what all is needed to achieve this award, saying that they have had 365 days without violating any portion of their permit.

Scott thanked his staff for all of their hard work all year long.
