Aberdeen is “Looking Good” and the Downtown Parking and Business Improvement District wants to honor those helping it do so. Mayor Bill Simpson and Jim Moore, Chairman of the DPBID would like to announce the “You’re Looking Good in 2011” award.

The awards are to recognize businesses that have maintained or improved the appearance of their building within the District. The first 13 buildings and businesses have been selected and the certificates will be given beginning Monday October 24.

This is the first year and it is planned that it will be an annual recognition.

The kick off of the “You’re Looking Good” award will be at John Yonich’s updated Shell Station on Heron and K St in Aberdeen on October 24th at 10am.

The first 13 honorees include John Yonich for his Shell Station, D & R Theater and Amore restaurant, Crowley Marine, Selmer’s Outlet, Selmer’s Home Furnishings, Colortyme, Sucher & Son’s Star Wars Store, Grays Harbor Stamp Works, Servpro, Harbor Shoes, The Grand Heron, and Jack Thompson’s Building on F and Heron St.
