Ocean Shores, WA – A 10-year old boy was nearly swept out to sea at the North Jetty in Ocean Shores on Saturday, but was rescued by bystanders.
The Ocean Shores Police Department tells KXRO that on Saturday night at about 6:00 p.m. police and fire responded to a surf rescue call at the North Jetty.
They say it was reported that a small boy was caught in a rip current and was being pulled out along the jetty.
Two bystanders saw the boy was in trouble and swam out to him.
They pulled him up to the rocks and helped him out of the water.
