10 minutes of freedom was enough to get arrested again

A man who had just been released from jail was arrested for car prowls.

The Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office tells KXRO that on Friday they were sent to the Grays Harbor Courthouse parking lot by a security officer who was told by a citizen that she saw a man inside her vehicle.

According to the Sheriff’s Office the security officer saw the man exiting the vehicle and detained him for Deputies.

Deputies placed the 30 year old man under arrest for vehicle prowling.

It was then learned that the he had just been released from jail about 10 minutes earlier.

After searching the man, the Sheriff’s Office says Deputies found suspected methamphetamine and heroin and the suspect admitted to finding the drugs in another vehicle he had already prowled during his ten minutes of freedom.

The suspect’s actions were caught on the county security cameras.

The Sheriff’s Office says the victim of the stolen drugs has yet to report the crime.
