Washington Unemployment Drops in March

After three months at 7.5%, Washington’s unemployment rate dropped to an estimated 7.3% in March, according to the Department.

That’s the lowest unemployment rate since December 2008.

At the same time, job numbers are mixed. February’s estimated gain of 5,500 jobs was erased in March, with an estimated loss of 5,500 jobs.

In February, Grays Harbor remained the 3rd highest unemployment in the state, increasing slightly to 13.9%, while Pacific County went down in February to 12.4%.

March county by county unemployment numbers are expected next week.
