Vini Samuel named as new Prosecuting Attorney

The Grays Harbor County Commissioners have chosen their new Prosecuting Attorney. The position has been open following the announcement in August that Stew Menefee would be retiring.

Vini Samuel was announced as their choice at yesterdays meeting and Commissioner says they chose her because it was the best short term answer until the next election.

Menefee was sworn into the position in 1987. Samuel would hold the office until his term ends in 2014.

Gordon added it was a tough decision but the felt it was best for the county. The appointment was unanimous as all three commissioners voted yes.
