The SR 107 Chehalis River Bridge is being rehabbed, and comments are welcome

Traffic has been slowed over the last few weeks on SR 107 outside Montesano, and the Washington State says that this is only the beginning. They are giving residents and travelers through the area an opportunity to see what their end goal is.

The will host an open house for anyone interested in learning more about improvements to the State Route 107 Bridge on September 13 from 6-7 pm at Montesano City Hall.

At the open house they will discuss their plans to rehabilitate the 58 year-old bridge, including replacing timber and bridge rail, as well as painting the steel surfaces.

No formal presentation will be provided. Anyone interested is free to come at any time during the event.

The open house will have opportunities to talk with agency staff and provide input.
