Rock Crusher Hill getting another Band-Aid

Another temporary fix will be added to Rock Crusher Hill.

Drivers on US 101 near Artic will see one-way alternating traffic while crews repave a section of highway next week.

The work is scheduled from 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday, July 7, although the work is weather-dependent and could be rescheduled.

The road surface will be rehabilitated after heavy rains last March caused a section of the roadway to drop about six inches. At that time, crews made temporary repairs.

Work is underway to design a permanent repair; however construction funds have yet to be found. Drivers should expect more damage to the road following heavy rain until permanent repairs are completed. Until then, maintenance crews will closely monitor the road and perform spot repairs as needed.
