Results on general election show only slight changes

After a second count of the 2012 general election results, little changed throughout Grays Harbor.

increased his lead over current Grays Harbor County Commissioner Terry Willis. The percentage of votes did not change, but Cormier increased his lead from 845 votes to just over 950. Cormier is poised to become one of 2 new commissioners after the results are certified.

Arie Callaghan continues to lead Chris Thomas for the seat left open following the retirement of Tom Casey on the Grays Harbor PUD Board of Commissioners.

For Grays Harbor Fire District #5, the percentages showed minor change, but the gap between the current rejection and passage of hope for the East County fire district shows no signs of slowing. 54% of voters continue to show opposition to allowing the district to raise their levy. All other Fire Districts continue to show support for their propositions.

75% of voters in Grays Harbor have been counted so far. The next ballot count is scheduled for November 14th, with the results to be certified on November 27th.
