REPAIRS ON COSMO EFFLUENT LINE COMPLETE, FOLLOWUP WORK NEXT WEEK

Cosmopolis Mayor tells KXRO that crews were able to complete repairs on an effluent line at Cosmo Specialty Fibers that leaked yesterday afternoon.

Crews were able to contain the effluent that leaked and none of it entered the city’s storm sewers.

The mill is expected to be up and running this afternoon.

Raines says crews will recheck the repair area on the 29th and at that time travel on 1st. St (US101) may be restricted during that work.
