Pacific County AHAB Sirens now total 18

The next monthly test of the All Hazard Alert Broadcast system in Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties is scheduled for Monday, October 7th at noon. AHAB sirens recently installed at the Raymond and South Bend Fire Departments will be joining the existing 16 sirens, located throughout Pacific County, including the Shoalwater Bay Indian Reservation, for this test.

These sirens are not designed to be heard indoors and the sound may also be impacted by adverse weather. Residents are encouraged to have alternate methods of warning such as weather radios, which are tested weekly and can be heard indoors.

The Pacific County Emergency Management Agency recommends that residents of Pacific County mark their calendars for the monthly AHAB siren system test which is scheduled for the first Monday of every month at noon.

Residents with questions or concerns may contact the PCEMA office at (360) 875-9340 or (360) 642-9340.
