Let there be light. Aberdeen Parks Director Carl Harris told the on Wednesday night that there will be a welcome change to Aberdeen’s Pioneer Park, with the installation of new lights. Along with lights comes the convenience of online monitoring and support for the lights. If any light goes out, the city is notified and it gets fixed without the use of city resources and employees. Along with the new system, the lights themselves are more efficient for their needs. Harris added that these lights are meant for the field and no light is wasted on anywhere but the games. Harris’s announcement comes just over three years after the entire light system of the park was destroyed by the December ’07 storm.
