New K9 Unit in Grays Harbor

Following the death of from cancer, the unexpected death of Gizmo, and the retirement of Nitro, Grays Harbor now has a new Apprehension Team.

Sheriff and the Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office welcomed Deputy Tracy Gay and K9 Max. The sheriff’s office obtained Max from Landheim Training Center in Indiana.

Deputy Gay spent five weeks at the training academy and returned to Grays Harbor with Max.

Deputy Gay and Max are currently patrolling and were just this past week involved in their first criminal apprehension involving a felony theft.
