Mayor Bill Simpson seeing final meeting Wednesday as city leader

UPDATE: KXRO previously reported this meeting was tonight. The meeting is set for Wednesday.

Mayor will preside over his final meeting at his seat in front of the City Council this week.

Starting in January, Mayor elect Erik Larson will take over the helm from Simpson, who has served 2 terms as Mayor after serving on the council for 18 years according to the City.

Because of the 5 week month, a meeting is scheduled for Wednesday to handle any vouchers or additional business.

Along with Simpson, councilmembers Doug Paling and Jerry Mills will also be seeing their final meeting on the Council for their terms.

Following the meeting, an event is planned to celebrate Simpson’s time leading the city.
