Filing for public office ends today at the Grays Harbor County Auditor’s Office in Montesano.
Offices up for re-election include Grays Harbor Sheriff and city council positions throughout the county.

The cities of Cosmopolis, Ocean Shores, Westport, Montesano, Elma, McCleary, and Oakville all have council positions available.
Mayors Gary Dent of McCleary and Charles Norskog of Oakville, and Port of Grays Harbor Commissioner Chuck Caldwell have re-filed in order to retain their seats in the open election. Numerous fire district and school boards seats from the coast to East County are all available.
All filings must be submitted by the end of the business day on Friday. May 20 is the last day for candidates to withdraw.
