GH EMERGENCY MGMT TO HOST WEATHER RADIO EVENT

This  The City of Elma is hosting a All Hazards Weather Radio Program for Elma & East County of Tuesday February 22, 2011 at the Elma Fire Department at 112 N 2nd Street in Elma from 7-8:30pm.

This program is designed to educate the public on the warnings/alerts that may be issued for the Elma & East County areas from the National Weather Service. While NOAA weather radios provide warnings for multiple natural and man-made hazards, they are especially important to obtain severe weather warnings while indoors. Program participants will receive important information about severe weather issues, how to make a home preparedness kit, and a NOAA weather radio. Programming assistance will be provided by local amateur radio operators. Qualified participants will receive a FREE NOAA weather radio.
