Full scale emergency training coming to Grays Harbor

is preparing for an emergency, and residents throughout the area can join in their training.

Grays Harbor County will be conducting a full scale exercise on Saturday, Sept. 21st featuring of the mobilization of their Community Emergency Response Teams, Faith Based Organizations, Medical Reserve Corps Members, and other groups.

The exercise will take place at the in their lower parking lot where attendees will participate in the development of an assembly area, just as if an earthquake had impacted our county.

This will be treated as a real emergency, with events featuring a housing, medical, and mass feeding shelter. These shelters will be implemented with assistance by the Red Cross.

Everyone is welcome to attend to practice with local agencies.

The event will be held rain or shine.
