Election results have been updated by the Grays Harbor Auditor’s Office and little change is seen within the County.
Almost 4000 additional ballots were counted, showing an almost 48% voter turnout locally.
Former City Councilman John Erak continues to lead in the race for his former seat, and gained a stronger lead, with a 55% majority voting to elect the man who died in June of this year.
Chuck Caldwell added 1500 votes supporting him for Port of Grays Harbor Commissioner, maintaining a lead over Ron Figlar-Barnes at 70-29%.
Aberdeen City Councilman John Smith was able to close the gap between himself and Tawni Andrews down to only 9 votes, showing 51-48% with Andrews leading.
Kathi Hoder, Alice Phelps, and Denny Lawrence are all leading their races to remain on the City Council.
McCleary Mayor Gary Dent has retained his lead with 53% of residents supporting him. Challenger Chris Vessey holds 43% of the vote behind the current Mayor, while last minute write-in candidate Joe Chiaralotti earned 10 votes.
Ballots are scheduled to be counted again next Wednesday at 3pm, and certified on November 26.
