COSI COUNCIL REJECTS ALL 4 REDISTRICTING PROPOSALS

At last night’s Cosmopolis City Council meeting Resolution 2011-06 was passed notifying the Grays Harbor County Commissioners that all four proposed redistricting maps are being rejected and no proposal is acceptable unless it keeps , , South Aberdeen and Cosmopolis in a contiguous district.

The issue of the so-called “grass ordinance” was raised at last night’s meeting with City councilman calling for a public hearing to see how people really feel about the law.

No date for that hearing has been scheduled.

In other business the Council approved an authorization for an Emergency Medical Services agreement with Aberdeen and also heard from about the progress in completing the merger of the Grays Harbor and the .
