Participated in job fair and event sponsored by educational institution relating to broadcast careers

 

 

 

On March 1, 2012, the stations participated in the day-long Career/Job Fair, sponsored by Grays Harbor Community College- Aberdeen, WA 98520.  Station representatives provided information to attendees and answered questions regarding career opportunities in broadcasting.   Station participants included Operations Manager and General Manager.

Internship program

During the reporting period, 1 Aberdeen High School student and 1 Hoquiam High School student interned at the stations in the programming department during the Spring quarter.

Management EEO training 

On September 14, 2012, Human Resources Manager completed on-line training courses “Hire Hard, Manage Easy” and “Other Harassment: First line of Defense Employment Law” Learning and Development, Morris Communications Company, LLC.  General Manager completed on-line training “The Plus of Us- Diversity Training for Supervisors” on September 14, 2012 as part of Learning and Development, Morris Communications Company, LLC.

Participated in job fair

On April 26, 2012, the stations participated in career fair sponsored by Harbor High School- Aberdeen School District No. 5.  Station participants included Operations Manager.
