City of Hoquiam Recognize Police Following Standoff

A proclamation was made at the Monday for the appreciation and support of the Police Department.

Hoquiam Mayor issued a proclamation following the work done by not only the Hoquiam Police department but multiple agencies that responded to the stand off in Hoquiam that lasted over 20 hours. Mayor Durney spoke on the professionalism of the department.

Hoquiam Police Chief also talked about the injuries of Hoquiam Police Sergeant who was injured at the beginning of the incident. Myers said that it was a true team effort and cited not only police agencies but even helpful residents in the area who let officers utilize their homes and local businesses that donated food.
