Accident on SR 8 kills 2 Grays Harbor teens

2 Grays Harbor teens have died after their car struck a tree and split in half on Wednesday evening.

Trooper Guy Gill said on his official Twitter feed that the car was travelling east on SR-8 in when the accident occurred.

A 19 year old man from Montesano was driving the car when it left the roadway, struck a tree, and was separated into 2 pieces. The man was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

A 19 year old McCleary woman was also in the car. She died from her injuries.

Washington State Patrol say that speed was a factor.
