Police officers in Hoquiam are still on the lookout for a fugitive who fled from a traffic stop yesterday near the Simpson Avenue Bridge detour, but Hoquiam Police Chief Jeff Myers says he is reasonably sure that 21 year old Andrew Dalquist is no longer in the county. Dalquist is wanted for 2nd degree murder and 1st degree assault by the Pierce County Sheriff's Department. He was last seen running from the traffic stop at 6th and "J" Street in Hoquiam early on Tuesday morning and was pressumed to still be in the area. However, Myers says he believes Dalquist obtained transportation out of Grays Harbor and that the search for the fugitive will become a statewide search. He is described as five-foot-seven, 160-pounds and was last seen in a blue hat and sweatshirt with jeans. Dalquist is to be considered armed and dangerous and is not to be approached. Anyone with any information is asked to call 911 or the Hoquiam Police Department at 532 0892. |
