BURGLARY VICTIM PAYS BACK SUSPECT

The victim of a home burglary decided to exact his own manner of payback on the men who allegedly robbed his home. Aberdeen Police Captain Dave Johnson says officers were called to the Randall Street home on Saturday evening after the resident found someone had broken into the building and stolen some items. No suspects were found, but descriptions were attained and used later in the night when officers went to a home on the 11-hundred block of First Street after a reported assault. The victim in the assault matched the description of one of the burglary suspects. Johnson says it appears the burglary victim knew who one of the suspects was and went to the home, found some of his stolen property and proceeded to attack the suspect. Later that evening the second suspect was arrested, attempting return stolen items to the victims home. Both the suspects were booked for Residential Burglary, Possession of Stolen Property and outstanding warrants. The burglary victim will not be charged in the case after the two suspects signed prosecution waivers for the assault. |
