WORK BEGINS ON JOHN'S RIVER BRIDGE

State Route 105's John's River Bridge will be getting a three month makeover by the Department of Transportation starting today. Crews will be cleaning and painting the metal structures on the 56 year old bridge which will help protect it from corrosion. The $600-thousand project should wrap up in September and will involve single lane alternating traffic with flaggers controlling the flow. In a pleasant twist, if back-ups become extensive, the contractor will open all lanes to allow the traffic to clear. |
