WOMAN SUSPECTED OF EMBEZZLING MONEY FROM HOQUIAM DOCTOR
By Ian Cope :: 333 Views ::

Charges may be filed today against an Aberdeen woman suspected of embezzling over $30-thousand dollars from her employer.  Hoquiam Deputy Chief Jim Maloney says the employer, a Hoquiam doctor first became suspicious in April that the employee had taken between $15 and $25-thousand dollars, but could not find evidence to substantiate the allegation.  Maloney says Detective Shane Krohn and a Bellevue accounting firm began investigating and on June 10th, a statement was received from the firm determining that between February of 2006 and March of 2008, the employee had embezzled $37-thousand dollars.  Maloney says the case has been forwarded to the County Prosecutor to determine what charges should be filed.
