SHOPPING CART ROUND-UP!!!!

Aberdeen police officers and volunteers from the community have spent the last two days rounding up shopping carts that have littered the streets of downtown Aberdeen.  Corporal Darren King says in all 120-carts have been returned to their stores.  King says carts from Safeway and Walmart were the most commonly spotted carts.  In addition to helping clean-up downtown Aberdeen, the effort is also helping students at Aberdeen High School.  A third of the 30 volunteers were students at the school, fulfilling a community service requirement for graduation.
