TWO APRIL CLAM DIGS SCHEDULED By Ian Cope on Monday, March 17, 2008

A pair of razor clam openings are in the works for April.   The Department of Fish and Wildlife has announced that on April 6th-8th, Long Beach and Twin Harbors will open on the AM tides with Twin Harbor remaining open on the morning tides of April 9th.  The second dig would have Long Beach, Twin Harbors, Copalis and Mocrocks opening on April 19th and 20th.  Twin Harbors will remain open on April 21st-23rd (also on AM tides).  Marine toxin tests will be carried out early next month to confirm  the openings.  This is the first dig in which a 2008-2009 license will be required.

Chris Styner of Humptulips outlasted 9 other contestants to win abrand new Honda at Aberdeen Honda on Sunday. The contestants had to keep their hands on the car as long as possible. The contest started at 5pm on Friday and concluded with Chris being the champ on Sunday at 10:00am.
