WATER QUALITY THREATENS SHELLFISH

Fecal coliform and other pollution levels continue to threaten shellfish growing areas in Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties, according to the state Department of Health, but at least things haven't gotten worse since last year.

PUD WESTPORT OUTAGE RESCHEDULED

Grays Harbor PUD is rescheduling the planned power outage in the South Beach area from Saturday afternoon to Friday afternoon. The outage will run from approximately 1pm until about 8pm Friday, May 9, 2008. The PUD worked with Westport City Officials, cranberry growers and those planning the Saturday Memorial Service for Neddie Rose Farrington to find another option for the planned outage. The outage is critical to address needed repairs at the Elk River transmission line crossing.

ABERDEEN DELAYS WATER RATE INCREASE
