ABERDEEN COUNCIL VOTES DOWN SIZE RESOLUTION

Unless a petition drive is successful, the citizens of Aberdeen will not be given the chance to vote on whether they prefer a seven or twelve-member city council. That's the decision of the current 12-member council on an 8-4 margin, after defeating a resolution that would have put the council size to a public vote.
