An East County man was killed on Friday night after coming into contact with a downed power line.  Chief Criminal Deputy Dave Pimentel says 50-year old Roy Messenger's car went off the Black Creek Road on Friday at 9:23 PM, taking down a power pole.  Pimentel says after calling family members to come help him, Messenger began to urinate into a roadside ditch and struck one of the live wires.  Family members found him dead at the side of the road.
