2.9 magnitude earthquake north of McCleary

, Grays Harbor Deputy Director of Emergency Management says that a magnitude 2.9 earthquake was registered this morning north of McCleary.

Although it is relatively small, it is a reminder that we live in earthquake country and that all citizens should educate and prepare themselves, their family, business and pets for such an event.

He reminds residents that The Great Shakeout earthquake exercise is scheduled for October 18th at 10:18am.
